Topeka, KS (September 3, 2026) – One man was seriously injured as a result of a Topeka car accident that occurred on Wednesday morning, September 2.

According to reports from the Kansas Highway Patrol, at around 8:00 a.m., a 2016 Honda HR-V, a 2006 Subaru Tribeca, a 2020 Ford Transit and a 2024 Ford Explorer were all involved in a chain-reaction collision along the westbound side of US Highway 24.

A passenger in the Honda, identified as 77-year-old Michael Krentz of Topeka, was seriously injured. He was transported to Saint Francis Hospital for treatment. The driver of the Honda, 77-year-old Virginia Adams, was uninjured. None of the other drivers involved in the accident were injured. They were identified as 37-year-old Jolie Crow of Grantville, 57-year-old Roxann Gooden of Grantville, and a 16-year-old female of Grantville.

Several vehicles were removed from the scene by towing services. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
