Truck Accident on MO-13 South of I-70 in Higginsville, MO

Higginsville, MO (September 2, 2026) – A Higginsville truck accident left two men injured Tuesday afternoon, September 1.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 5:20 p.m. on MO-13 south of Interstate 70 in Lafayette County. A 2011 Ford Escape and a 2020 Freightliner Cascadia collided along the highway.

Following the collision, the driver of the Ford, identified as a 23-year-old man from Concordia, Missouri, suffered serious injuries. Life Flight Eagle transported him to Research Hospital for treatment. The driver of the Freightliner was identified as a 51-year-old man from Owings Mills, Maryland. He sustained minor injuries and was transported by Odessa EMS to Centerpoint Hospital.

Both vehicles sustained total damage and were towed from the scene by Jackson County Tow. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
