Kansas City, KS (September 2, 2026) – A Kansas City car accident left two people injured Tuesday morning, September 1.

According to reports from the Kansas Highway Patrol, at approximately 7:52 a.m. on September 1, a 2010 Toyota Tacoma and a 2013 Kia Forte were traveling westbound on the ramp from Interstate 70 to Interstate 635 when the vehicles collided

Authorities reported that the Kia had slowed for traffic before the collision. Following the impact, the driver of the Kia, Alexandria Christine Hamilton, 36, of Kansas City, Missouri, suffered injuries and was transported to KU Medical for treatment. A 6-year-old passenger in the Kia, was also injured and transported to KU Medical.

The driver of the Toyota, identified as a 17-year-old male from Kansas City, Kansas, sustained injuries in the accident and was treated at the scene. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
