Nevada, MO (January 29, 2025) – A multi-vehicle accident east of Nevada on Noah Road left a 17-year-old pedestrian seriously injured on Monday evening, January 27. The crash occurred around 7:00 p.m., approximately two miles east of the city, involving three vehicles and a pedestrian.

Authorities reported that a 2001 Toyota Tacoma traveling westbound collided with a disabled 1999 Ford Pickup, which was stopped in the westbound lane. A 2017 GMC Sierra, stopped in the westbound lane to assist, was also involved. The impact caused the disabled Ford Pickup to strike the pedestrian, pinning him under the vehicle. The pedestrian, a 17-year-old male from Nevada, Missouri, suffered serious injuries. He was airlifted by Cox Air to Mercy Hospital Springfield for emergency treatment.

The driver of the Toyota Tacoma, a 31-year-old man from Nevada, Missouri, was unrestrained at the time of the crash. His vehicle sustained total damage and was towed from the scene. The Ford Pickup, also damaged, was removed by its owner. The GMC Sierra sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene. Investigators are working to determine all factors contributing to this collision.
