Higginsville, MO (July 24, 2026) – Two vehicles were involved in a Higginsville car accident at around 3:04 p.m. on July 22 that sent one woman to an area hospital with injuries. The incident took place at the intersection of Missouri 13 and Business Missouri 13 North Junction.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash involved a 2022 Kia Soul driven by a 35-year-old woman from Bates City, Missouri, and a 2019 Jeep Compass operated by a 59-year-old woman from Lexington, Missouri. Both drivers were adults and were wearing safety restraints at the time of the collision.
Investigators report that the Kia Soul was traveling westbound when it crossed into the path of the northbound Jeep Compass. The Jeep then struck the Kia, resulting in damage to both vehicles. The Kia sustained minor damage, while the Jeep had moderate damage. Despite the impact, both vehicles were able to be driven from the scene.
The 35-year-old driver of the Kia Soul suffered minor injuries in the crash. She was transported by Higginsville EMS to Western Missouri Medical Center for evaluation and treatment. The 59-year-old driver of the Jeep Compass was not reported to have sustained injuries. Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
