Blue Springs, MO (July 25, 2026) – A Blue Springs car accident left one woman injured Friday morning after a two-vehicle crash at a busy intersection in Jackson County. The collision occurred at approximately 9:45 a.m. on July 24 at US 40 and Bowlin Road.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash involved a 2017 GMC driven by a 32-year-old man from Kansas City, Kansas, and a 2014 Infiniti operated by a 46-year-old woman from Blue Springs, Missouri. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
Reports indicate the GMC was traveling southbound when it failed to yield and entered the path of the eastbound Infiniti. The Infiniti then struck the passenger side of the GMC, causing extensive damage to the Infiniti and moderate damage to the GMC. Both vehicles were towed from the scene due to the severity of the impact.
The 46-year-old driver of the Infiniti sustained injuries and was transported by Central Jackson County EMS to Centerpoint Hospital for treatment. The driver of the GMC was not reported to have been injured. Emergency personnel remained on-site for a period of time to assist those involved and manage traffic in the surrounding area.
