Cass County, MO (June 22, 2026) – One woman was transported to an area hospital with injuries following a Harrisonville car accident involving three vehicles that took place on Sunday afternoon.

Shortly after 2:25 p.m. on June 21, Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers were called to the scene of a multi-vehicle collision on Missouri Highway 7 at South Walker Road. According to investigators, traffic had slowed along the northbound lanes when a chain-reaction crash occurred.

Reports indicate a 2025 Kia K4 and a 2019 Nissan Altima had slowed for traffic when a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado struck the Kia from behind. The impact pushed the Kia forward into the rear of the Nissan, causing damage to all three vehicles.

The Chevrolet Silverado was driven by a 24-year-old man from Lee’s Summit, Missouri. The Kia was operated by a 48-year-old man from Clinton, Missouri and carried a 42-year-old female passenger. The Nissan Altima was driven by a 32-year-old man from Marshalltown, Iowa.

The female occupant of the Kia sustained moderate injuries and was transported by Central Cass County Fire/EMS to Cass Regional Medical Center for treatment. All drivers involved in the collision were reported to have been wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.

The Kia sustained total damage and was removed from the scene by Gary’s Towing. Both the Silverado and Nissan were able to be driven from the scene following the investigation.
