Blue Springs, MO (September 24, 2026) – On Tuesday, September 22, emergency crews were called to the scene of a Blue Springs car accident that left a 65-year-old Lenexa man injured.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, at around 5:50 p.m., a 65-year-old Lenexa man was driving a 2025 Hyundai Translead tractor eastbound on Interstate 70 when he began slowing and stopping for traffic ahead, just west of Missouri Highway 7. A 2020 Universal tractor driven eastbound by a 22-year-old St. Louis man then struck the towed unit of the Hyundai.
The 65-year-old driver suffered injuries and was transported to Centerpoint for medical care. The 2020 Universal sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene by Jackson County Tow. No damage was reported to the 2025 Hyundai, which was later picked up by a company driver.
Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
