Overland Park, KS (September 23, 2026) – On Tuesday evening, an Overland Park car accident involving two minivans took place on Interstate 35, sending Charles Ray Brooks, 48, and Pamela Joy Ewan, 68, to the hospital with injuries.
According to reports from the Kansas Highway Patrol, Brooks was driving a 2005 Honda Odyssey southbound on Interstate 35 at around 5:52 p.m. As the vehicle approached an area about seven-tenths of a mile north of 87th Street, Brooks was reportedly traveling at a high speed and made an improper lane change. His vehicle struck the rear of a 2013 Dodge Caravan driven by Ewan. Following the collision, both vehicles traveled into the west ditch of I-35.
Brooks and Ewan were injured in the accident. Both drivers were transported to Overland Park Regional Medical Center for further medical care. Both vehicles were removed from the scene by Simple Tow Service.
