Leeton, MO – Man Injured in Truck Wreck on MO-2 near SE 301st Rd

Leeton, MO (December 5, 2024) – A man was transported to an area hospital with injuries following a car crash that occurred in Johnson County. Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers were informed of the accident at around 7:40 a.m. on December 4.

Reports show that a 2020 Peterbilt was traveling in the intersection of Missouri Highway 2 and South East 301st Road. For unknown reasons, the driver failed to stop at the intersection. As a result, the Peterbilt crashed into a 2018 Chevrolet. Both vehicles were seriously damaged in the crash and had to be towed from the scene. The driver of the Chevrolet, a 65-year-old man, was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center for emergency medical treatment of injuries. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
