Kansas City, MO (April 13, 2025) – A rear-end collision involving two Ford vehicles sent at least two people for medical treatment on Thursday afternoon.

The accident occurred at approximately 4:20 p.m. on April 10 along Interstate 35 southbound near the 8.8 mile marker in Clay County. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2009 Ford Explorer crested a hill and was unable to stop in time, striking the rear of a 2020 Ford F-150. Both vehicles were traveling southbound at the time of the crash. The Explorer sustained severe damage and had to be towed by private services, while the F-150 was driven from the scene.

The 29-year-old male driver of the Ford F-150, who is from Easton, Kansas, suffered minor injuries. He was privately transported to North Kansas City Hospital for evaluation. The 56-year-old woman from Parkville, Missouri, who was driving the Explorer, appeared to have no visible injuries at the scene. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts when the crash occurred.
