Kansas City, MO – 60-Year-Old Man Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on Martin Luther King Blvd & Eastwood Trfy

Kansas City, MO (March 24, 2026) – A 60-year-old man lost his life in a hit-and-run crash that took place just before 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 21, in Kansas City.

Authorities reported that the victim, identified as Arthur C. Lee, was riding a scooter southeast on Martin Luther King Boulevard. He attempted to make a left turn onto Eastwood Trafficway with a green traffic signal when the crash occurred.

Investigators said a dark-colored vehicle was traveling northwest on Martin Luther King Boulevard at the same time. The driver failed to stop at a red light and entered the intersection, striking the scooter. The impact threw Lee from the scooter.

Kansas City Police and emergency units arrived at the scene and pronounced Lee dead. The driver involved in the crash did not stop and left the area immediately after the collision.

Officials have not released details about the suspect vehicle. Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash and are working to locate the driver involved.
