St. Joseph, MO (March 31, 2026) – A crash involving a police vehicle left two people hurt Monday evening, March 30, in St. Joseph. The accident happened around 6:20 p.m. near the intersection of 22nd Street and Faraon Street.
The St. Joseph Police Department said the crash involved a St. Joseph Police Department vehicle and another car. The police vehicle rolled onto its side and sustained heavy damage, prompting emergency units to respond quickly to the scene.
Fire crews worked to remove one person from the overturned police vehicle. The officer driving the vehicle suffered minor injuries and received treatment before being released.
An individual who was in custody at the time of the crash also sustained minor injuries and received treatment. A person in the other vehicle also had minor injuries but declined medical care at the scene.
Officials have not yet shared what led to the collision. Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
