Independence, MO (December 12, 2024) – A 38-year-old man was injured as a result of a pedestrian accident that took place in Jackson County on Tuesday evening, December 10.
At around 6:10 p.m., a man was walking in the area of North Twyman Road, just north of US Highway 24, when he was struck by a 2011 Ford Fusion. The pedestrian was seriously injured in the accident. Fort Osage EMS transported the victim to Research Hospital, where he underwent emergency care. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
