Fatal Kansas City Car Accident on 10th St Takes Two Lives

Kansas City, KS (March 3, 2026) – On Sunday morning, March 1, emergency crews were called to the scene of a fatal Kansas City car accident involving a wrong-way driver. The incident took place near the intersection of 10th Street and Quindaro Boulevard.

According to reports from the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department, at around 12:45 a.m., a vehicle was traveling eastbound on the westbound lanes when it crossed the double yellow line and struck an oncoming vehicle head-on.

The driver of the westbound vehicle, Tiera Laster, 30, and a passenger, Ashli McGough, 37, both died from injuries sustained in the crash. One victim was pronounced dead at the scene, while the second passed away later at a local hospital.

Four others involved in the accident remain in serious to critical condition, including three passengers from Laster’s vehicle and the sole occupant of the wrong-way vehicle. The KCKPD Traffic Division is continuing to investigate the incident.
