Topeka, KS (July 18, 2026) – A serious Topeka motorcycle accident left one rider injured Friday afternoon following a collision with a pickup truck in Shawnee County. The crash occurred at approximately 2:20 p.m. on July 17 along westbound US-24 Hwy near mile marker 370.9, just east of Northeast Happy Hollow Pl.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the crash involved a 2019 Ram 1500 driven by Bradley F. Broxterman, 52, of Ozawkie, Kansas, and a 2025 Harley Davidson Street Glide motorcycle operated by Trenton L. Boster, 37, of Meriden, Kentucky.
Investigators reported that the pickup truck was attempting to make a U-turn when the motorcycle sideswiped it. During the collision, Boster was ejected from the motorcycle. Emergency crews arrived at the scene and provided immediate care before transporting him to Stormont Vail Hospital for further treatment. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Broxterman was not reported to have been injured. Both vehicles sustained damage, and the motorcycle was removed from the scene by a towing company.
Authorities remained at the scene to investigate and manage traffic flow along the highway. The crash continues to be reviewed as officials work to determine all contributing factors.
