Leeton, MO (August 12, 2026) – A Leeton car accident left three people injured Monday afternoon at the intersection of Missouri Highway 13 and Route JJ.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at approximately 12:19 p.m. on August 10 at Missouri Highway 13 and Route JJ. Investigators reported that an 87-year-old man from Warrensburg was driving a 2019 Dodge Ram Caravan eastbound when the vehicle began crossing Highway 13 and struck a 2003 Dodge Durango driven southbound by a 37-year-old Clinton resident.

The impact forced the Dodge Durango off the roadway. The Durango sustained extensive damage and was towed from the scene by Tip Top. The Dodge Ram Caravan sustained total damage and was also removed from the scene by Tip Top Tow.

The 37-year-old female driver of the Durango suffered moderate injuries and was transported by EMS to Western Missouri Medical Center for treatment.

The driver of the Ram Caravan, an 87-year-old Warrensburg resident, also sustained moderate injuries and was taken by EMS to Western Missouri Medical Center. A 63-year-old male passenger from Chillhowee riding in the Ram Caravan suffered moderate injuries and was transported to the same hospital for additional care.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol investigated the crash with assistance from Cpl. K. M. Hoover. The crash remains under investigation.
