Merriam, KS (May 13, 2026) – A Merriam car accident involving three vehicles caused injuries Tuesday morning along Interstate 35 in Johnson County. The collision happened at approximately 7:55 a.m. on May 12 along northbound I-35 near Antioch Road in Merriam.
According to investigators, traffic had slowed in the number two lane when a 2019 Ram 3500 driven by 27-year-old Hayden Wooten of Lenexa failed to reduce speed and struck a 2014 Toyota Camry operated by 28-year-old Emily Rose Meganck of Gardner. The force of the impact pushed the Camry into a 2024 Kia EV9 driven by 47-year-old Christopher Harrington of Overland Park.
Emily Rose Meganck suffered injuries in the crash and was transported to Olathe Medical Center for treatment. Authorities reported that all involved occupants were wearing safety restraints at the time of the collision. The Kia also carried passengers identified as Nora Harrington, Iain Harrington, Joe Harrington, and Luke Harrington, all of Overland Park, who were reported to have no apparent injuries.
