Topeka, KS (August 17, 2025) – A motorcycle and another vehicle collided Friday afternoon in a crash that led to traffic disruption on SW 17th Street near Stone Avenue in Topeka.
The incident occurred on August 15 just east of the intersection with Gage Boulevard. According to initial reports from the Kansas Highway Patrol, the crash took place in the westbound lanes of SW 17th Street, prompting a temporary closure as emergency crews responded.
Authorities indicated that the collision resulted in only minor injuries. The Topeka Police Department stated they did not anticipate an extended road closure and expected the area to reopen shortly after the scene was cleared.
Although full details surrounding the cause of the crash have not been disclosed, both vehicles remained at the scene as law enforcement conducted their investigation. The identities of those involved have not been made public. The crash caused minor traffic delays in the area. Drivers were asked to use alternate routes until the scene was cleared.
