Warsaw, MO – Woman Airlifted After Crash on US-65

Warsaw, MO (March 11, 2025) – A serious two-vehicle accident took place on US Highway 65 just south of Cedar Gate, leaving a 65-year-old woman with serious injuries.

Authorities responded to the scene at approximately 8:05 p.m. after receiving reports of a crash involving a 2024 Chevrolet Trax and a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer. According to officials, the Chevrolet Trax, driven by a 65-year-old woman from Warsaw, was traveling northbound when it struck the rear of the Trailblazer. The impact caused the Trax to cross the median and crash into a guardrail.

Emergency medical personnel arrived on the scene and determined that the driver of the Trax had sustained serious injuries. She was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was transported by LifeFlight to University Hospital in Columbia for further treatment. The 79-year-old male driver of the Trailblazer, also from Warsaw, sustained no reported injuries. His vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene by Twin Lakes Tow. The Benton County Sheriff’s Department assisted at the crash site. Investigations into the cause of the accident are ongoing.
