Truck Accidents in Missouri

Clinton, MO - Juvenile Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on MO-18Accidents involving commercial trucks and other vehicles are a significant concern in Missouri. According to recent reports, large truck crashes often lead to severe injuries or worse due to the sheer size and weight disparity between vehicles. In 2022 alone, Missouri recorded hundreds of truck-related accidents, many of which resulted in injuries.

Truck accidents often occur for several reasons:

  • Blind Spot Collisions: Commercial trucks have large blind spots, making it harder to see smaller vehicles in adjacent lanes.
  • Improper Maneuvering on Hills or Curves: Hilly terrains and sharp turns can be particularly hazardous for trucks due to their length and weight, increasing the risk of sideswipes or rollovers.
  • Driver Inexperience: Handling a large truck requires specialized training. Inexperienced drivers are more prone to errors that lead to accidents.
  • Road and Weather Conditions: Wet or icy roads can further compromise a truck’s ability to brake and maneuver, increasing the risk of collisions.

In accidents involving commercial vehicles, victims must protect their rights.
