Kansas City, MO (August 20, 2026) – A Kansas City car accident reported on Tuesday, August 18, on the southbound ramp connecting Interstate 29 to southbound Interstate 35 sent one person to a local hospital with injuries.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, at around 4:00 p.m., an 18-year-old woman from Independence was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado when she changed lanes and struck the front of a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 70-year-old man from Kansas City. After the impact, the second pickup traveled off the roadway and into a ditch.
The 70-year-old driver sustained injuries and was transported by the Kansas City Fire Department to North Kansas City Hospital for additional medical care. The 2013 Chevrolet Silverado sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene, while the second pickup sustained moderate damage and was towed. The crash remains under investigation.
