Topeka, KS (August 20, 2026) – On Sunday evening, two people were injured as a result of a Topeka motorcycle accident that occurred in the Highland Park area of the city.
According to the Topeka Police Department, the crash occurred at approximately 6:45 p.m. on August 16, at the intersection of S.E. 26th Street and California Avenue. Officers arrived at the scene and found two adults who had been riding the motorcycle. Both riders suffered serious injuries and were transported by American Medical Response ambulance to a local hospital. Authorities said the injuries were serious but were not believed to be life-threatening.
Police indicated there were no immediate reports of injuries to anyone inside the other vehicle involved in the crash. Investigators have not released the identities of those involved, and additional details regarding what led to the collision have not yet been made public. The investigation remains ongoing.
