Johnson County, MO (May 9, 2026) – A Hazel Hill Township car accident resulted in injuries on Friday afternoon along Missouri Highway 13 just south of Northwest 1000th Road.

Troopers stated that a 2025 Chevrolet Silverado had stopped for traffic while traveling northbound on MO-13 when it was struck from behind by a 2016 Nissan Sentra.
Authorities identified the driver of the Nissan as a 19-year-old man from Concordia, Missouri. The driver of the Chevrolet Silverado was identified as a 32-year-old man from Warrensburg, Missouri. Both drivers were reportedly wearing safety restraints at the time of the crash.
A 20-year-old female passenger riding in the Nissan suffered injuries in the accident. She was transported by private vehicle to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg for medical care. The Nissan sustained extensive damage and was secured roadside to be removed later, while the Silverado sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.
Traffic delays were reported in the area while authorities investigated the crash and worked to clear the roadway. The accident remains under investigation.
