Grain Valley, MO (August 13, 2026) – A two-vehicle Grain Valley car accident on Interstate 70 Tuesday afternoon left one woman injured.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at approximately 3:58 p.m. on August 11 on eastbound Interstate 70 near the 24.8-mile marker. Investigators reported that traffic had slowed because of congestion when a 2026 Nissan Sentra and a 2011 Ford Flex became involved in a rear-end collision.

The driver of the Nissan Sentra, 43-year-old woman from Pleasant Hill, Missouri, suffered injuries in the crash. She was wearing a seat belt and was transported by EMS to Centerpoint Medical Center for evaluation and treatment. The Sentra sustained extensive damage and was removed from the scene by Jackson County Tow.
