Warrensburg, MO (July 30, 2026) – A Warrensburg car accident left two drivers injured Tuesday morning at approximately 10:37 a.m. on July 28 along Missouri Route 13.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2021 Subaru Legacy driven by a 75-year-old woman from Warrensburg was traveling southbound when it crossed the center of the roadway. As a result, it entered into the path of a northbound 2015 Ford Escape operated by a 64-year-old man from Concordia. The two vehicles collided head-on, causing extensive damage to both.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and worked to assist both drivers while managing traffic in the area. Due to the severity of the impact, both vehicles were declared total losses and were towed from the crash site.
The 75-year-old female driver sustained serious injuries and was transported to Research Medical Center for treatment. The 64-year-old male driver suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Centerpoint Medical Center. Both individuals were wearing different levels of safety protection at the time, with the female driver reported to have been using a safety device.
Troopers, including TPR S.L. Edwards, along with assisting officers, conducted the on-site investigation. Authorities are continuing to review the factors that led to the crash, including roadway positioning and driver actions prior to impact.
