Car Accident on MO 291 at 203rd St in Cass County, MO

Cass Co., MO (December 19, 2025) – Two people were transported to the hospital after a crash involving a teenage driver in Cass County on the afternoon of December 18.

The collision occurred at approximately 2:14 p.m. at the intersection of Missouri Highway 291 and 203rd Street. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 16-year-old girl from Lone Jack was driving a 2019 Ford eastbound when she pulled into the path of a 2009 Honda that was traveling southbound. The Honda struck the driver’s side of the Ford, resulting in significant damage to both vehicles.

Emergency personnel from Central Cass Fire and the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrived at the scene and began treating the injured. Two women inside the Honda, a 59-year-old driver and a 28-year-old passenger, both from Adrian, sustained injuries. Both victims were transported to Research Medical Center for further care.

The two vehicles had to be towed from the crash site due to the extent of injuries. Authorities shut down a portion of the roadway while they cleared the scene and began investigating what led up to the wreck.

We hope those injured in this accident recover quickly.
