Topeka, KS (May 15, 2026) – A Topeka car accident on Friday morning left three people injured. The collision occurred around 9:45 a.m. on May 15 near the intersection of Northwest Humphrey Road and Northwest 46th Street in Shawnee County.
Deputies with the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene along with additional emergency personnel. Authorities temporarily closed off the intersection while crews assisted those involved and worked to clear the roadway.
According to officials, the crash involved a 2013 Cadillac SUV carrying three occupants. The vehicle was traveling eastbound on Northwest 46th Street when it left the roadway at Northwest Humphrey Road. Investigators stated the SUV entered a ditch and rolled several times before coming to rest.
The 24-year-old male driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries. A 19-year-old woman inside the vehicle was also hurt. Both were evaluated following the crash. A third passenger, a 23-year-old, was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the rollover.
