Kansas City, MO (August 7, 2026) – A Kansas City car accident left three people injured Thursday morning along Interstate 29 near Tiffany Springs. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the collision occurred on August 6 at approximately 7:00 a.m. in Platte County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the crash scene on northbound I-29 at Tiffany Springs. According to the crash report, a 2024 Lincoln Aviator driven by a 33-year-old woman from Parkville was traveling north when it hydroplaned and came into contact with a 2026 Hyundai Tucson. Following the initial impact, the Hyundai traveled off the roadway and struck a concrete barrier. The Lincoln sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene. The Hyundai suffered total damage and was removed by Express Towing.
Three occupants of the Hyundai were reported injured in the collision. The 33-year-old male driver, a 38-year-old female passenger, and a 56-year-old male passenger, all from Raleigh, North Carolina, sustained injuries. All three were transported to St. Luke’s Hospital Barry Road for additional evaluation and treatment. Both drivers were reported to have been wearing safety restraints at the time of the crash.
Investigations into the accident are currently underway.
