Overland Park, KS (March 13, 2026) – Emergency crews were summoned to the scene of a three-vehicle Overland Park car accident that took place late Thursday evening, March 12.
The accident occurred at approximately 10:29 p.m. on the eastbound side of Interstate 435, just west of Metcalf Avenue. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2005 Ford F-150 driven by Rosalba Ortiz Calderon was traveling slowly in the fourth lane with its hazard lights activated. A 2011 Toyota Prius, driven by Ahmad Abdelrahman, struck the rear of the pickup truck. Subsequently, a 2019 Toyota 4Runner, driven by Naseem Fardipour, also struck the rear of the Ford F-150 in the fifth lane.
Rosalba Ortiz Calderon sustained injuries in the collision and was transported to Overland Park Regional Medical Center. A passenger in her vehicle, Jose Lopez Soto, was reportedly uninjured.
Both Ahmad Abdelrahman and Naseem Fardipour escaped the incident without apparent injury. All three vehicles sustained enough damage to require removal by Dale’s Tow. Investigators confirmed that all individuals involved were using safety restraints at the time of the crash.
