Overland Park, KS (August 29, 2026) – A fatal Overland Park car accident was reported on westbound I-435 late Friday night, August 28, leading officers to close multiple lanes and the nearby US-69 Highway exit.
The crash was reported at approximately 10:50 p.m. on I-435 west of Antioch Road and just before the US-69 Highway exit. Officers investigating the accident closed the two right westbound lanes of I-435 while they worked at the scene.
The exit from westbound I-435 to US-69 Highway was also closed for motorists attempting to travel either northbound or southbound on US-69. Drivers were advised to avoid the area while officers investigated and managed the roadway closures.
