Kansas City, KS (February 11, 2026) – Late Tuesday night, February 10, a serious motorcycle accident in Kansas City occurred along the K32 ramp to southbound I-435 in Wyandotte County. The accident happened around 10:30 p.m. and involved a Harley Davidson rider who lost control due to the reckless actions of another vehicle.
According to investigators with the Kansas Highway Patrol, a non-contact vehicle entered the ramp from K32 and passed a motorcycle on the inside shoulder. This abrupt maneuver caused the 2003 Harley Davidson Classic to lose traction and overturn. The rider, identified as 49-year-old Billy Ray McGee of Linwood, Kansas, was thrown from the bike and landed in a ditch beside the ramp.
McGee, who was wearing a helmet at the time, sustained suspected serious injuries. He was transported by emergency crews to Overland Park Regional for medical treatment. The non-contact vehicle fled the scene, and neither the vehicle nor the driver has been identified at this time. The motorcycle sustained visible damage and was removed by a private towing company. The case remains under investigation by Trooper K288. Updates may be available through the Kansas Highway Patrol.
