Ionia, MO (September 1, 2026) – An Ionia car accident left a 57-year-old man injured Sunday afternoon after a Nissan 200SX and a Ford Fusion collided on US-65 south of Route P in Benton County.
The crash occurred at approximately 12:15 p.m. on August 30. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 1998 Nissan 200SX and a 2016 Ford Fusion were traveling northbound on US-65 when the vehicles collided.
Following the impact, the driver of the Nissan, identified as a 57-year-old man from Camdenton, Missouri, suffered injuries. Benton County EMS transported him to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment. The driver of the Ford was identified as a 75-year-old woman from Cole Camp, Missouri. She was not reported injured.
The Nissan sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene by Tolliver. The Ford sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
