Lake Lotawana, MO (June 20, 2026) – A Lake Lotawana car accident left one person injured Friday afternoon following a two-vehicle collision on Missouri Highway 150 in Jackson County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred on June 19 at approximately 2:30 p.m. near the intersection of MO-150 and Gammon Rd.
Investigators reported that a 2014 Ford driven by a 66-year-old man from Lone Jack was traveling westbound when it crossed the center line and struck the side of an eastbound 2024 Ford driven by a 31-year-old man from Independence.
The impact caused total damage to the 2014 Ford and moderate damage to the 2024 Ford. Both vehicles were removed from the scene by towing companies.
Authorities stated that the 31-year-old driver from Independence suffered moderate injuries in the collision. He was transported by Lone Jack Fire personnel to Centerpoint Medical Center for treatment.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Lone Jack Police Department and the Lake Lotawana Police Department.
The crash remains under investigation.
