Kansas City, KS (March 16, 2026) – Emergency crews responded early Monday morning, March 16, 2026, at approximately 6:59 a.m. to a Kansas City truck accident on westbound I-70 near 38th Street and Carr Drive in Kansas City, Kansas.
Multiple units were dispatched to the scene, including Pump 11, Truck 14, Medic 9, Rescue 1, Medic 2, and Battalion 1. Upon arrival, Battalion 1 assumed I-70 command. Truck 14 was directed to block the outside lane just past 38th Street to manage traffic flow. Responding units were rerouted through 18th Street to access the westbound lanes.
EMS rendered aid to victims on site, and at least one person was transported to a local hospital for further care. The extent of injuries has not been officially confirmed. At this time, the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department is investigating the crash.
