Kansas City, MO – Two Injured in Four-Vehicle Crash on I-70

Kansas City, MO (March 29, 2025) – A chain-reaction crash involving four vehicles sent two people to the hospital late Thursday morning. The collision occurred on March 27 around 11:35 a.m. on Interstate 70 Westbound near the 21.8-mile marker.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2025 VW GLI driven by a 20-year-old man from Lee’s Summit collided with a Dodge Dakota, triggering a multi-car collision. The Dakota was pushed into a Dodge Durango, while a Ford F550 then struck the back of the Dakota. The Dakota, Durango, and VW were all significantly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.

Two drivers— the young man operating the VW and a 39-year-old woman behind the wheel of the Dodge Durango—were both transported by ambulance to Centerpoint Hospital. The driver of the Dakota, a 56-year-old woman from Kansas City, also suffered vehicle damage but was not transported. The Ford F550 sustained only minor damage and was driven from the scene. Police in Kansas City are currently investigating the incident and the circumstances surrounding it.

We hope those injured in this accident recover rapidly.
