Kansas City, MO – Pedestrian Critically Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash on E Truman Rd

Kansas City, MO (March 16, 2026) – A pedestrian suffered critical injuries after a hit-and-run accident late Saturday night, March 14, in Kansas City. The crash happened at about 10:50 p.m. along the 5600 block of East Truman Road. Kansas City police responded after receiving reports that a vehicle struck a person walking in the roadway.

Investigators said a white SUV traveled west on Truman Road after passing Lawndale Avenue. While driving through the area, the vehicle hit a pedestrian.
