Kansas City, MO – One Dead, Three Injured in Crash on The Paseo

Kansas City, MO (October 19, 2025) – A deadly crash claimed one life and left three others injured on Sunday morning, October 19, in Kansas City.

The collision happened shortly after 1:00 a.m. near 16th Street when a gray Chevrolet Malibu traveling south on The Paseo lost control. The car slid off the road, jumped the curb, tore through a grassy area, and crashed into a large tree.

Paramedics rushed the driver to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries. Despite doctors’ efforts, they died shortly after.

Three passengers suffered serious injuries. The front-seat passenger remains in critical condition. The left rear passenger also suffered critical injuries and is in serious condition. The right rear passenger sustained less severe injuries and is stable after medical treatment.

Investigators spent several hours at the scene collecting evidence and working to determine what caused the Malibu to lose control. The Kansas City Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding this crash.
