The crash happened around 4:30 p.m., during the busy evening travel period on one of Kansas City’s most heavily traveled highway corridors.

We hope everyone injured makes a full and swift recovery.

Semi-Truck Accidents in MissouriCar and Semi-Truck Crash with Injuries on WB Hwy 435 Near Bannister Rd

Semi-truck accidents in Kansas City and across Missouri continue to be a major concern for motorists, especially along routes where heavy commercial traffic mixes with regular commuters. Large trucks take longer to stop, require wide turning space, and can cause severe injuries when involved in collisions with smaller passenger vehicles.

Crashes involving commercial trucks often lead to major injuries because of the force involved. Victims may suffer life-changing harm that requires ongoing medical care, time away from work, and long-term physical therapy. Some of the most common injuries linked to truck accidents include:

  • Traumatic brain injuries, caused by sudden jolts or head impact.
  • Neck and back injuries, including herniated discs and spinal trauma.
  • Broken bones, which often result from the force of a truck hitting a smaller car.
  • Internal injuries, which may not be immediately visible but can become life-threatening.
  • Severe cuts and bruising, caused by shattered glass, crushed metal, or airbag deployment.
  • Emotional trauma can affect confidence behind the wheel long after the crash.

Because of the size difference between a semi-truck and a passenger vehicle, drivers in smaller cars are far more likely to suffer serious injuries. Investigators typically examine truck logs, maintenance records, crash dynamics, and roadway conditions to determine why these accidents occur.

A Missouri truck accident lawyer can help victims understand how these factors influence their case and determine whether the trucking company, driver, or another party failed to follow safety requirements. With the complexity of commercial vehicle regulations, having the right attorney can make a significant difference in proving fault and pursuing fair compensation.
