Kansas City, MO – 8 Young Adults Injured in Crash on I-35 Involving Van and Sedan

Kansas City, MO (September 19, 2025) – Eight young women were hospitalized on Thursday evening, September 18, after a serious crash involving a passenger van and a sedan on Interstate 35 near Eagleville in northern Missouri.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that the crash happened around 5:30 p.m. when the driver of a 2012 Chevrolet Impala slowed in the right lane of northbound I-35 to turn into the emergency crossover in the median.

At the same time, a 2005 Ford Econoline E450 passenger van traveled north in the passing lane. The Chevrolet struck the van, forcing it off the roadway. The van then became airborne before coming to rest in the median.

Eight female passengers, ages 19 through 22, all from Oklahoma, sustained moderate injuries and were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment. Fortunately, neither the Impala driver nor the van driver was injured. The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.

We hope for a swift and full recovery for all eight injured passengers.

Vehicle Accidents in Missouri

Passenger vans often carry multiple people, making crashes involving them especially dangerous. A single impact can leave many victims with injuries, as seen in this recent crash. In this case, eight young women now face recovery from moderate injuries that may still involve medical bills, rehabilitation, and lost time from work or school.

Passenger injuries in accidents can include:

  • Neck and back injuries – The force of impact can strain muscles, ligaments, and vertebrae, sometimes leading to long-term pain.
  • Broken bones – Passengers may suffer fractures that require surgery and extended recovery.
  • Head injuries – Even with seatbelts, passengers can sustain concussions or traumatic brain injuries.
  • Emotional trauma – Surviving a violent crash often leaves victims dealing with anxiety or post-traumatic stress.

Victims of these crashes often feel overwhelmed with hospital stays, medical costs, and uncertainty about their recovery. Working with an experienced personal injury lawyer in Kansas City can help injured passengers pursue compensation for medical expenses, lost wages, and pain and suffering.

When multiple people are injured in a crash, insurance companies may attempt to limit payouts, leaving victims without the financial support they need. Having strong legal representation ensures that every injured passenger has their rights protected and their case handled with care.
