Kansas City, MO (May 8, 2026) – Emergency crews were dispatched late Thursday night to a Kansas City car accident involving a pickup truck and a passenger car near West 11th Street in downtown Kansas City. The accident occurred at approximately 10:43 p.m. on May 7.
According to radio dispatch reports from the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department, firefighters, rescue crews, and emergency medical personnel responded to the scene after receiving reports of a crash involving a white Ford F-150 and a gray Toyota. Initial reports indicated the collision may have also involved a nearby building.
Authorities stated that at least one person suffered injuries in the accident. Paramedics provided medical attention at the scene before transporting injured victims to local hospitals for additional treatment. The full extent of injuries has not yet been released.
The crash caused disruptions near West 11th Street as emergency crews worked to assist those involved and remove damaged vehicles from the roadway. Investigators are still working to determine the events leading up to the collision.
