Kansas City, MO (August 3, 2026) – A Kansas City car accident involving multiple vehicles led to injuries Tuesday afternoon along Interstate 435 near the State Line Road bridge.
Emergency crews were dispatched to the westbound lanes of I-435 on August 3 after reports of a crash involving several vehicles. Responders accessed the scene from the Wornall Road area and located the collision along the outside shoulder near the bridge over State Line Road.
Initial reports from crews on scene indicated that at least four vehicles were involved, each sustaining minor to moderate damage. Emergency personnel began evaluating those involved while establishing command to coordinate response efforts and manage traffic in the area.
Authorities confirmed that at least two individuals were injured in the crash. One patient was located outside of a vehicle but remained conscious while receiving care. Both injured individuals were assessed at the scene, and at least one was transported to Shawnee Mission for further medical attention. The incident remains under investigation by the Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department.
