Kansas City, MO (September 4, 2026) – A Kansas City bike accident left a juvenile with serious injuries Thursday evening after an electric dirt bike and a passenger vehicle collided in a Northland intersection.
According to the Kansas City Missouri Police Department, the crash occurred at approximately 5:20 p.m. on September 3 near the intersection of Northeast 78th Street and North Park Avenue. An electric dirt bike and a passenger car collided at the intersection.
The impact caused the juvenile rider to be ejected from the electric dirt bike. Authorities reported that the rider struck the vehicle’s windshield before coming to rest on the roadway.
Emergency medical personnel transported the juvenile to Children’s Mercy Hospital with serious injuries. Police reported that the injuries were not considered life-threatening.
The driver of the passenger vehicle remained at the scene. Authorities have not released additional information about the driver or indicated that any other injuries were reported.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
