Jefferson City, MO – Two-Vehicle Crash on W Business 50 Leaves One Injured

Jefferson City, MO (January 4, 2025) – A collision involving two vehicles on West Business 50, west of Pioneer Drive, left one woman injured late Friday morning. The crash occurred around 11:20 a.m. and resulted in a road closure and emergency response.

Reports from investigators indicate that a 2013 Toyota Venza, driven by an 87-year-old woman from Jefferson City, entered West Business 50 and collided with a 2013 Dodge Caravan. The Caravan, traveling east, was being driven by a 69-year-old woman, also from Jefferson City. The impact caused the Dodge Caravan to veer off the left side of the road while the Toyota Venza came to rest in the roadway.

The driver of the Dodge Caravan sustained moderate injuries in the accident and was transported by Cole County EMS to Capital Region Hospital for treatment. The driver of the Toyota Venza did not report injuries. Both vehicles were towed from the scene due to the damage they sustained. Local authorities are actively investigating the crash to determine if any additional factors contributed to the collision.

We hope the injured victim receives the care needed to make a full recovery.
