Jane, MO (January 8, 2025) – A head-on collision reported in Jane resulted in injuries to three people on the evening of January 5. The crash, which occurred around 6:20 p.m., on US Highway 71, involved a 1998 GMC 1500 traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of the highway, where it collided with a 2019 Jeep Cherokee.
The driver of the GMC 1500, a 72-year-old male from Pineville, Missouri, sustained moderate injuries. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was transported to Mercy Hospital in Bella Vista, AR, for treatment.
The Jeep Cherokee’s occupants were also injured. The 31-year-old male driver suffered minor injuries, while his 29-year-old female passenger sustained moderate injuries. Both were wearing seatbelts and were taken to Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Arkansas, for care.
Both vehicles were totaled and were removed from the scene by local towing services. The crash remains under investigation.
