Liberty, MO (August 31, 2026) – A Chrysler 300 and a Chevrolet Malibu were involved in a Liberty car accident on Sunday evening that left two men injured.

The crash occurred at approximately 8:50 p.m. on August 30. According to the  Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2016 Chrysler 300 and a 2023 Chevrolet Malibu collided while traveling southbound on US-169.

Authorities reported that the Chrysler struck the rear of the Chevrolet. Following the collision, the Chrysler traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree.

The Chrysler was driven by a 23-year-old Kansas City, Missouri, man. He suffered serious injuries and was transported to Liberty Hospital for medical treatment. The Chevrolet was driven by a 48-year-old Pleasant Valley, Missouri, man. He suffered minor injuries and was also transported to Liberty Hospital. His name was not provided in the report.

Both vehicles sustained significant damage. The Chrysler was totaled, while the Chevrolet sustained extensive damage. Brad’s Towing removed both vehicles from the scene.
