Holden, MO (August 6, 2026) – A Holden car accident was reported late Tuesday morning in Johnson County that left at least one person injured. According to the crash report, the incident occurred on August 4 at approximately 11:50 a.m. at the intersection of Southwest 75th Road and Southwest 1201st Road.
Authorities say a 2020 Chevrolet Equinox, driven by a 20-year-old man from Odessa, Missouri, was traveling eastbound when it became involved in a collision with a second, unidentified vehicle that was also heading eastbound. The Chevrolet sustained moderate damage and was later towed from the scene by Dawg Town Towing. The second vehicle reportedly had minor damage and was able to leave the scene under its own power.
Emergency crews were dispatched to assist those involved. The 20-year-old male driver of the Equinox was injured in the crash and transported by private vehicle to Western Missouri Medical Center for additional medical care. He was reportedly wearing a safety device at the time of the crash. No further identifying details about the second driver have been released at this time.
Traffic in the area experienced some disruption as officials worked to assess the scene and ensure safe passage for other motorists. At this time, the circumstances leading up to the collision remain under active investigation by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
