Henry, MO – Serious Injury in Crash on MO-7 at Rt C

Henry, MO (April 23, 2025) – A serious two-vehicle crash early Tuesday morning led to emergency crews being dispatched to MO-7 at Route C. The collision, which occurred around 6:05 a.m. on April 22, left one woman with serious injuries that required airlift transport.

According to a report by MSGT. W. P. Bremer of Troop A, the crash happened when a 2015 Ford F-350, traveling west, attempted to make a left turn and failed to yield. This resulted in the Ford being struck by a northbound 2020 GMC Terrain.

The Ford was driven by a 20-year-old man from Calhoun, Missouri, who was using a safety device and was not reported as injured. The GMC was driven by a 43-year-old woman, who suffered serious injuries in the crash. Her condition required urgent medical attention, and she was airlifted by LifeFlight Eagle Air Ambulance to Research Hospital in Kansas City.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene—one by Gary’s and the other by Clinton Wrecker. Authorities remained at the scene for investigation and cleanup.

We hope those injured in this accident recover quickly.

Car Accidents in Missouri

Henry, MO - Serious Injury in Crash on MO-7 at Rt CEvery year in Missouri, thousands of people are hurt in vehicle accidents, ranging from minor fender-benders to high-impact collisions. According to data from the Missouri Department of Transportation, there were over 50,000 injury crashes reported in the state last year alone. Many occur on rural highways and intersections where visibility and reaction time are limited.

When someone is hurt in a crash, there are many things they may have to deal with in the aftermath. Below are some of the most common injuries drivers and passengers experience:

  • Head and Brain Injuries: Concussions and traumatic brain injuries (TBIs) are common in high-speed crashes. Even with a seatbelt, the force of a collision can cause a person’s head to strike a window or steering wheel. These injuries can affect memory, speech, and physical coordination for months or even years.
  • Spinal Cord and Back Injuries: Back and spinal trauma often result in long-term pain, limited mobility, and sometimes permanent disability. These injuries might not be immediately obvious, making it vital to receive a thorough medical evaluation after any crash.
  • Broken Bones: Fractures to the arms, legs, or ribs are regularly seen after serious wrecks. Depending on severity, they may require surgery and long-term rehab to heal properly.
  • Emotional Trauma: Not all injuries are physical. Anxiety, PTSD, and depression are common in people who have experienced traumatic accidents, especially those involving serious injuries or loss.
