Kansas City, KS (July 31, 2026) – A fatal Kansas City motorbike accident claimed the life of one person and left another critically injured late Thursday night following a three-vehicle crash at a busy intersection.
Officers with the Kansas City Kansas Police Department responded to the scene around 10:30 p.m. on July 28 at the intersection of North 50th Terrace and State Avenue. Authorities reported that three individuals were traveling westbound on State Avenue on motorbikes when they collided with a passenger vehicle that was turning north onto North 50th Terrace.
Emergency crews arrived quickly and began assessing those involved. One motorbike rider was pronounced dead at the scene. A second rider suffered critical injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for urgent medical care. The third motorbike rider and the driver of the passenger vehicle were not reported to have been injured.
The crash caused significant disruption in the area as investigators worked to document the scene and gather evidence. The Kansas City, Kansas Police Department Traffic Fatality Unit has taken over the investigation and continues to examine the events leading up to the collision.
