De Soto, KS (November 2, 2025) – A young girl suffered serious injuries on Sunday, November 2, in a violent rollover crash on Sunflower Road south of Kansas Highway 10 in De Soto.
Deputies said the crash happened around 12:15 p.m. when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The car rolled several times before coming to rest upside down on the roadside. Two people were inside the vehicle at the time of the crash.
Emergency responders arrived quickly and provided immediate medical care. Paramedics transported a young girl to a nearby hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The other person in the vehicle was not injured.
Officials closed the roadway while crews cleared debris and towed the damaged vehicle away. Investigators spent several hours at the scene gathering evidence, examining skid marks, and reviewing road conditions to determine what caused the crash. The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the collision.
